Facebook is by far the most popular social network in the world, the one with more users and one on which you spend more time, but according to recent market research does not seem the most convenient for the companies in marketing.

All this emerges from a study conducted in the U.S. by ExactTarget, so users of the microblogging platform are more likely (37%) than Facebook (17%) to buy a brand of which have become "followers" on social networks.

Facebook vs Twitter

In addition, three users of Facebook, there is the highest percentage who would not want to buy a product from a brand which has become "fans".

The real problem of the research seems to be the difference in absolute numbers, since only 3% of American consumers follow a brand on Twitter.
